About “You and a Pack”
My first international trip was to Europe in 2013, when some of my friends were visiting a few countries in the Mediterranean. This trip opened my eyes since I spend almost 2 weeks there and it gave me a good taste of the difference in culture that I had grown with and that I was used to. That was the moments I said to myself “wow, there is so much I dont know, so much I havent seen and so much I want to discover”.
Later that same year, I was somehow convinced by my friend to take the journey with him to China and so I did.. Again, I was amazed by the difference of cultures, landscape, balance of life, and beliefs you can encounter halfway around the World.
Then, in 2014, I took another trip to various countries in Europe, but this time I visited Iceland and my life changed! I wanted to see more, and the more I traveled, the more I wanted to keep traveling and visiting places. And I thank that special person who inspired me to take this trip. It was awesome.
In January 2016 I decided to quit my job (which I wasn’t enjoying much); and with no job there was no reason to stick around the city I was living in and renew my apartment lease which was due that same month. Therefore, I thought it would be a good idea to escape the routine and go travel solo.
And so I did for about 3 months.
Late march a new job came around (which I took because it was too good to pass), but surprisingly travel did not stop there. It just began! My first week I was on a private jet to Cuba and the rest is history. I’ve been living out of my suitcase every since and travel more than I ever imagined.
Early 2017 I decided to continue traveling and manufacture a backpack. I will continue to share photos, stories, and tips of my trips.
The purpose of this page is to share stories about my travels (whether is for work or leisure) on how to be more efficient when traveling, maximize any trip, how to survive on the road out of your suitcase (physically, emotionally and mentally) and provide tips that will make your travels cheaper, safer and more fun! I’ll share thing you do and don’t need to pack and recommend local places that I’ve visited.
I got lots of information I want to share, but please be patient as I continue to post. Share my website and visit frequently.
